Avner Pariat is a writer and curator based in Shillong, Meghalaya.
He is a member of the Khasi tribe. Much of his writings and research have been about his community and its cultures.
His exhibition Cults of the Khla was the product of over a year’s worth of research in and around Khasi and Jaintia Hills. It was made possible through the generosity of the India Foundation for the Arts in Bengaluru.
