Ka Muin Chad Khla

The instrument in the photo is the muin also known as a jaw harp. It was a fairly common instrument played throughout Ri Bhoi district.

This particular audio clip is called the muin chad khla by the people of Khatar Nonglyngdoh. It is reputed to be the tune that tigers would play and dance to whenever they had a social gathering (similar to human parties).

Ka Muin Chad Khla

 Kane ka tiar tem kaba phi iohi ha ka dur ki ju khot muin (mieng) ha bun ki jaka jong ka Ri Bhoi.

Ia kane ka jingtem ka ba phin sngap mynta ki briew na Raid Khatar Nonglyngdoh ki khot ka jingtem muin chad khla. Ki ju iathuh ba ia kane ki khla ki ju tem bad shad ha ki por leh sngewbha jong ki kumba ju leh ki briew ha ki bamkhana bamphalar.
